Mixed feelings about this short novel. It reminded me of something I might write — a three-part story with obvious and nuanced connections. It didn’t quite present itself, post-read, as a whole. It was more like random scenarios that the author wanted to explore and then figured out a way to make semi-cohesive. Well written. Perhaps overly written in spots, a little self-indulgent. I finished this a week ago and I’m still processing it. There’s a Je ne sais quoi about it. It’s a quick read, so don’t hesitate, if a story set in the pandemic era that explores the line between what is reality and what is fiction interests you.
