Awareness

Recommended by Tim Ferriss, especially as a way to reset and deal with anxiety. A big disappointment. Rambling writing style. It felt dated. It was repetitive (on purpose): awareness, awareness, awareness. What I was hoping for was a few goal-oriented mental frameworks, but De Millo was pushing this esoteric concept of awareness with such practical tidbits as “How do you achieve awareness? Through awareness.” Not much I can do with that. The more useful passages were overwhelmed by nonsensical stream-of-consciousness proclamations. I wanted to believe in this book and De Mello’s takes. Maybe I’m not ready for them.
