Why Greatness Cannot Be Planned
, pages
Interesting theory about how short-term objectives get in the way of ambitious goals—and that it’s better off not to have objectives to reveal/create something interesting/unique/significant. This was a blog post, stretched to book length through maddening repetition. The theory was intriguing, but the argument lacked compelling evidence and mostly came off as nonsense. A nice effort by academics, but ultimately not a great read.
