The Untethered Soul

First 20 pages were interesting as Singer talks about the monkey mind and consciousness –– and how our awareness seems independent from everything experienced in life. Then the book turns quickly into a babbling mess. So incredibly repetitive (what is it with these repetitive books I’m selecting?). This level of repetitiveness was like a Joel Osteen lecture. Here’s an idea. Now let me say the same thing 8 more times using slightly tweaked language for 8 more paragraphs of filler. The thesis of the book was basically: walk around in life and just shrug your shoulders at everything that happens. Woo woo, impractical garbage. A massive waste of time.
