The Bachmanns are returning to San Diego after a year in Manhattan. Many of you have asked about timing, where exactly are we going to live, etc. Check back frequently for updates, but just like CNN covering breaking news, we have more questions than answers.
Timing
UPDATED 6.13.13: Angela and Tristan board a plane on 6/22 while Matt and the dogs hit the highways for a 17-hour road trip. First stop for all is St. Louis. Angela will return to New York briefly to wrap things up in Manhattan before returning back to STL. We will depart STL for San Diego in mid-to-late July.
Housing
UPDATED 6.13.13: We were unsuccessful in securing a new home after Angela’s recent house hunting trip and negotiations that went south on a particular property of interest. It’s back to the old house for now.
Jobs
We are both returning to our full-time positions held previously in San Diego.
Daycare
We are currently working on determining the best daycare option for Tristan. No final decisions yet.
Transportation
The logistics of a cross-country move with two vehicles (one in St. Louis), two dogs, one toddler and some critical items in New York is a challenge to say the least. Still figuring it out. At least there’s no bunny this time.
