Hawking tackles big questions like Is There a God and Is Time Travel Possible through a scientific lens. This requires him to dumb down the math and scientific proof for his answers so an idiot like me can grasp it. His arguments lose a little steam because of this. It was a middle-of-the-road book and his answers to the questions seem to come with an asterisk — mostly because I don’t understand the math of black holes or don’t fully believe we have as much of an understanding on how the world operates as Hawking may. Mostly enjoyed Hawking’s takes and it gave me a lot to think about.
