Informative history of Pixar told in an intelligent, approachable voice of one of its founders. This was essentially a business management book—for those leading organizations in the creative industry. It was not as dull or self-serving as Build, nor smug and arrogant like Principles. The George Lucas – Steve Jobs – Disney ties to Pixar were interesting to learn. A bit repetitive and slow in spots, but for the most part it felt like the author was attempting so share lessons learned that could pragmatically help managers seeking to keep their companies focused on their strengths and build rewarding work cultures.
