Middling account of Vance’s upbringing in a redneck environment. Long-winded and somewhat boring. Was more interesting as Vance became steeped in the elite world of Yale law students, but even then was mostly expected material. Would have liked to hear about his business ventures and entry into politics, but this book was written before that. Read this quickly over the last two days of the year.
