Elon Musk is an entitled, self-absorbed asshole. This is the theme of the book and it was reiterated at every turn by the authors (both are NYT reporters). Twitter founder Jack Dorsey was also heavily scrutinized and portrayed as an eccentric asshole as well. Having read Isaacson’s bio of Elon and The Power Law, there wasn’t a lot to learn on this retelling of the pre-, during and post-acquisition of Twitter by Elon. While clearly biased, the retelling felt mostly factual and I found it an easy read. Elon continues to fascinate. He holds an incredible ability to accomplish what others find too difficult, but seems to be a highly flawed jackass of a human being.
