Going Infinite

Kudos to Lewis for crafting a highly consumable account of the currently unfinished SBF saga. I’d call it a page turner, but that overstates how immersive the storytelling actually was. While the pages flew by, I was left feeling like this was lightly researched and a somewhat lazy account of the story. Granted Lewis may not have realized the gravity of SBF’s impact in real-time, but then shame on the publishers for not extending the book’s deadline so Lewis could take a deeper dive. SBF was a high IQ weirdo that attracted a loyal following of equally odd characters. Like Elon, he claims a general concern for humanity, but interpersonal empathy escapes him. Repeat this theme for the rest of the book with minimal character development. It was a very enjoyable read, yet my enthusiasm was tempered based on the deeper work donw by Isaacson and Soni on the Elon and Founders books, respectively.
