The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

Such a breezy read coming off a mainly academic text, I tore through this one in a few days. Started strong and compelling. Eventually the stream-of-consciousness-of-an-autistic-boy voice began somewhat tedious and the storyline moved from the death of a neighborhood dog to a marriage gone bust with the special needs kid in its wake, and I wasn’t digging it as much. I picked this book up at a library yard sale of sorts and it sat on my shelf for years. It’s circa early 2000’s, but it mainly held up well. Solid and mostly entertaining. I have the worse time remembering the title of the book verbatim.
