The Beginning of Infinity

This one was a beast. I was surprised at how much I was able to comprehend (or thought I was comprehending), but I know I was only scratching the surface in terms of understanding what Deutsch was attempting to convey. Most pages took multiple reads to follow, so while 460 pages is a lengthy book, it felt closer to 700+ pages. The companion TOKcast podcast wasn’t nearly as helpful as I thought and so I soon left it in the dust – but plan to return to it. Hard to really wrap my head around in terms of a review. Intellectually provoking philosophy by an astrophysicist based on the notion that knowledge is attained and propagated through good, hard to vary, explanations. I know that makes little sense to someone unfamiliar with the text.
