Maybe it was my recent experience with a long string of boring business books and other random novels that shaped my opinion, but I found this book a literal page-turner. Consumed over just a few days and was looking for time during those days to give myself the excuse to do nothing but read this book. This is what you hope for when picking up a novel. Post-apocalyptic world, father and son attempting to survive. Cerebral and sad, not a zombie tale. A satisfactory ending without a Hollywood close.
