I was tired of running into this book on the interwebs, so I took advantage when I saw this at a used book store for $3. It was worth the investment, not much more. The cynical take is that it was a deluge of cliché tropes (family is the most important thing, stop and smell the roses, prioritize people over work, etc.) masquerading as a trite Hallmark movie in book form. There wasn’t much to learn, so the positive take would be it was a short, well written reminder to value and invest in relationships. Not a beach read unless you enjoy sad accounts of losing a loved one to a painful disease.
