Overstory = over-rated. I appreciate the author’s epic take on trees and the unique combination of short stories leading into a blended narrative. I felt it could have been equally as powerful with less characters (some redundancies that had me confuse characters from time to time) and an editing down of content (+/- 75 pages) to avoid thematic burnout as well. Gifted author, but not a recommend for me at 500 pages.
