The Power of Showing Up

I appreciated the basic theory (“attachment theory”) behind this book and I suspect I’ll run into the theory again (already heard it mentioned on a podcast). Provided some good advice in terms of how to approach your child, crudely speaking: keep your cool, empathize and don’t take your own issues out on your kid. Commonsense stuff, but it was presented in a polished and logical manner. My only critique was that the book was highly redundant. I seem to be running into this technique of stretching material the more I read non-fiction. It’s annoying and off-putting.
