Hollow Kingdom

Kira Buxton Jane, 308 pages

Started strong. Meandered during the middle. Somewhat satisfying conclusion. I appreciated the author’s humor and creativity. Her theme that humans are addicted to digital screens was worthy, but she didn’t really go anywhere with it. Also her obvious intentional build-up and then reveal of story developments was annoying. Use it once, it works. Keep going back to it and it distracted from the story.
