So this book set out to explain, I think, why God allows bad things (tragic things) to happen to seemingly innocent (good) people. A man encounters the Trinity (God, Son, Holy Spirit) in a shack where the man’s daughter was killed by a stalker. The Trinity takes three human-like forms and spends the weekend explaining how/why God does what God does. Frankly, I didn’t get it. I thought some of the arguments approached being insightful, but I think I have more questions now than before I read the book – particularly because of the Trinity aspect. This book gripped some people emotionally, but I had a hard time connecting to it.
