The Girl She Used To Be

David Cristofano, 241 pages

Surprisingly enjoyable. Short, quick read. A pick up off the Bachmann book shelf (a gift given to Angela). Fiction about a woman in the Witness Protection Program. Made me think about the impact it could have on who you are and what your life can and can’t be when you have to start from scratch with a new identity (in the case of the main character, she has to re-start multiple times). Novel flowed easily, was a bit redundant in spots and I should have seen the ending coming, but didn’t. It wrapped everything up just a bit too neatly for my tastes. Probably could consider this one a novel for chicks, similar to Men and Dogs. So it’s back to the library for me. Too cheap to buy a book off the Queue, so I go in search of a more masculine novel for the next book.
